Beating Fire

Lucas Quality Thatchers continue to spend vast amounts of time and resources on furthering the research and development of this field.

We offer our Clients the following:

• Each project is approached individually and, if necessary, a Rational Fire Design is done.
  
• Currently the use of our fire blanket, used in conjunction with a non-flammable binding material, still comes out tops with regards to cost and longevity.
  
• A fully engineered manual drencher system, which can, at any time in the future, be updated to a start-of-the-art automated system.

These methods are all evaluated according to ASTM E108 standards, tested at our own facilities. We are currently awaiting finalization of South African Testing Standards to adapt our own testing facilities to comply therewith.
